Provides administrative oversight in developing and managing national level data and reporting systems affecting all levels of the VA Office of Mental Health & Suicide Prevention (OMHSP) program oversight for daily operations. Responsibilities include, providing oversight and guidance for developing projects, analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of services for operational projects, and clinical coordination and administration of services provided under VA's Mental Health services.
Duties
Major Duties Include (but not limited to):
Ensures all employees are licensed and credentialed.
Serves as coordinator of the integral aspects of grant and project development.
Use predictive analytics to assess a patient's risk of death by overdose or suicide in the next 12 months.
Analyze complex organizational problems, develop and implement effective solutions for these problems.
Provides programmatic information delegation pertaining to daily operations to the program managers.
Oversees OPPE and FPPE for all MH services, which is vital for the credentialing & privileging processes of all the credentialed providers in MH service line.
Identify potential gaps in patient flow/care, provider and patient trends, and additional provider or support staff needs.
Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday
Telework: Regularly teleworks 1-2 days per pay period

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/01/2024.
GS-11 Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
GS-11 Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Provides administrative oversight in developing and managing national level data and reporting systems.
Collects, analyzes and tracks data related to provider productivity, proper stop-code usage, clinic wait times and cancellations, no-shows, missed opportunities, open encounters, consults, and notes.
Set priorities delegating tasks in order to meet multiple deadlines.
Develops implements, evaluates, and monitors training for liaisons and direct care providers.
Analyze complex organizational problems, develop and implement effective solutions for these problems.

GS-11 Education (Transcripts Required): Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

GS-11 Combination (Transcripts Required): Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education at least 1 year (18 semester hours) at the graduate level beyond a Master's or equivalent degree.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary in nature. Typically, the incumbent will sit to perform work functions, but there will be some walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching or carrying light items. Employee may be required to work extended hours on occasion as needed, past a usual 8-hour day. Frequently required to respond to urgent action items and prepare issue briefs with short turnaround times which can be stressful.
