About the Position: Serves as the Director of Tribal Nations Technical Center of Expertise (TNTCX) with full responsibility for total management of assigned program. *Recruitment/Relocation incentives may be authorized to highly qualified candidates*

Duties

Responsible for oversight of work for the TNTCX (Tribal Nations Technical Center of Expertise). Justifies plans, actions and recommendations, and furnishes and obtains information regarding planning, funding progress reports, direction and execution of projects. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Serves as the principal point of contact between USACEHQ, the various tribal nations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Supervisory probationary period required.
• Business Travel (TDY) of 25% required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing oversight and direction of civil works or planning projects, directing and managing Operations and Maintenance programs, Regulator Programs, Natural Resources Management, and/or Tribal Consultation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
