This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of the Audit, Assessment, and Management (OAAM), Enterprise Risk Management and Analysis (ERMA).
Duties
Conducts ongoing analyses of monitoring, audit and compliance activity data and reported results to identity grant- and grantee-related risks to OJP.
Accesses and manipulate large sets of financial and programmatic data to assess the financial and programmatic performance of DOJ grant programs.
Examines, reviews, studies and evaluates operations and transactions to recommend risk actions or methods; determines feasibility and soundness, regulatory compliance and other activities related to business execution planning for operations.
Provides expert advice and guidance on broad projects and programs with national impact.
Recommends long-range program plans, goals, objectives and milestones which serve as the basis for substantive changes in OJP and administration of programs affecting large numbers of people.
Researches and prepares reports and written analyses regarding significant risks, risk mitigation strategies and impact of individual policies and positions on OJP as a whole.
Determines pertinent issues and collects relevant data from a variety of sources and drafts written products for program officials and other interested parties, such as requests from Congress and the White House.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Conducting ongoing analyses of monitoring, audit and compliance activity data and reporting results to assist in identifying grant- and grantee-related risks.
Participating in the design and maintenance of an enterprise risk management (ERM) program, making major recommendations and decisions on policy formulation and long-range planning in connection with prospective changes in functions and programs and significant internal and external program and policy issues.
Providing risk mitigation analysis, advice, and guidance on issues requiring resolution or development of new policies across programs, functions and operations.
