This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA EII/JOINT INTEROPERABILITY TEST COMMAND.
Duties
Serves as Team Lead or Team Member of an interdisciplinary team of technically creative radio frequency (RF) test technicians or engineers for various waveforms (CDL, HF, UHF, HAVEQUICK, SINCGARS, SATURN, etc.).
Set up RF test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers) required for testing and evaluating standard and special RF devices.
Perform RF (developmental, operational, and interoperability) Test and Evaluation, document test results, conduct analysis, and develop reports.
Communicates technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences, via written or verbal presentation.
Establishes priorities, milestones, and objectives to support the test program, and manages schedule and resources effectively.

Basic Requirements:

Qualifying experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. The employing agency is responsible for defining the qualified experience based on the requirements of the position being filled.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience as a radio frequency (RF) technical lead or engineering lead. Conducting technical reviews, requirements analysis, and use of strategies and methodologies which will be used to support test and evaluation (T&E).

Education
