Duties
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Theater and Operations Integration Specialist to the Operations and Integration Branch of the Current Operations Division for U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM).
Leads Joint Working Groups for Space forces to collaborate with GCCs, FCCs, Services and other agencies to generate recommended solutions for operations prioritization and integration based off of guidance of the CCDR and Division leadership.
Organizes and leads conferences, meetings, panels, and functional working groups, and other activities with organizations outside USSPCACECOM on matters related to space operations.
Maintains expert knowledge in current and future space systems, programs, and activities and keeps the staff informed.
Established allilances with organizations outside USSPACECOM on matters related to space operations crisis action and contingency planning.

Position is designated special-sensitive and requires the employee obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, 0301 Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH 02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or private sector). Specialized experience includes knowledge of Joint Operational doctrine and traditional Military Decision-Making Processes. Knowledge of the US Government, Department of Defense, JCS, and the Servies vision and strategic planning documents relating to effective employment of DoD systems. Expert knowledge of the DoD organizational structure and missions, to include highly classified SAP/STO operations, functions, responsibilities and interrelationships, including Combatant Commands and the military Services. Knowledge of and ability to implement the military adaptive planning process. Knowledge of military doctrine and capabilities; deterrence and assurance theory; U.S. and NATO policy, strategy, doctrine, and capabilities; and a deep understanding and cultural awareness of key historical events.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Ability to execute project and/or studies within established financial and/ or time constraints.
Ability to postulate second-and third order affects as it relates to the execution of U.S. OAIs against global adversaries and in support of allies, and partners. Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative techniques and to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to solve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions for management.
Ability to ortganize and lead cross-functional matrixed teams of Joint Service, civilian, and contractor tecvhnical experts tasked too originate new ideas, projects and methodologies and to design, build, program, and use modes and simulation techniues to facilitate findings.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
