You will serve as a Branch Head in the Radiological Support Division of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will supervise branch instructors and subject matter experts who produce training products and conduct certification examinations of shipyard employees regarding radiological control requirements. You will plan, monitor, and develop subordinate employees' performance. You will communicate work priorities, conduct timekeeping certification, and leave approval for subordinates. You will maintain NAVSEA and shipyard administrative requirements and directives. You will distribute and balance the workload and arrange training of branch personnel.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and overseeing radiological control training products or personnel, to ensure radiological control requirements are implemented in compliance with nuclear propulsion plant work practices and procedures.
