This position is located in Interior Region 3, 4 and 5. Range of rate of pay should not be misconstrued as entitlement; special rates pay table may be used for Information Technology Management (series 2210) positions, up to GS-11.

Duties

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
GS-11 Duties:
Responsible for analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of new and existing local network solutions.
Researches and resolves hardware, software, and applications issues by troubleshooting and working with regional IT Specialists and end users.
Optimizes the functionality and performance of IT systems.
Provides customer support to local users and elevated support to parks throughout the Midwest Region.
Writes and maintains standard operating procedures and other technical documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
GS-12 Duties:
Responsible for analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of new and existing regional and local network solutions.
Researches and resolves hardware, software, and applications issues by troubleshooting and working with regional IT Specialists and end users.
Optimizes the functionality and performance of IT systems.
Provides customer support to local users and elevated support to parks throughout the Midwest Region.
Writes and maintains standard operating procedures and other technical documentation.
Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative for assigned contracts.
Other duties as assigned.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-07/01/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience.
For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualification by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: developing, planning and managing the local area network (LAN) including planning, designing, configuring and installing data equipment, data wiring, and network data storage; analyzing and troubleshooting servers, switches, network cabling, battery backup, network data storage and demonstrated competence with managing data storage and a large local area network. You must include start/end dates and hours per week worked.
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualification by close of the announcement:
