The primary purpose of this position is to provide executive direction, assistance and support for all operation and activities of the Directorate.
Duties
Serves as the technical authority that oversees the development, implementation, operation and provision of the organizations administrative and management functions.
Exercises delegated authority to develop and recommend administrative program and policy changes to ensure compliance with applicable guidance and direction.
Gives advice, counsel or instruction to Directorates management. on both work and administrative matters, rejecting work projects and staff summary analyses back to the organizational focal points/management for corrective actions.
Maintains the Director's calendar of events and requirements.
Representing the Director, attends local installation, community and HQ meetings and conferences, in order to relay information, receive information or give input to important Installation operating issues, activities and events.
Conducts special projects and studies, accomplishing research, providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of a fact-finding, investigative nature, relative to a variety of complex management or administrative issues to AF standards support compliance.
Promotes safety and health in workplace through awareness and compliance with safety rules, regulations and best practices.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in which includes staff operations management concepts, principles, and methodologies and of qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of administrative and technical programs. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of and ability to apply a wide variety of procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized projects in the installation administrative, management and support work of a directorate
Comprehensive knowledge relative to organizational structure, function and mission of wing and HQ
Leadership ability including the ability to coach, mentor, and challenge others, ability to adapt leadership style to a variety of situations; ability to model high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, and respect by applying these values on a daily basis
Technical ability to conduct research, analyze a wide variety of programs/policies/procedures, evaluate program effectiveness/efficiency, recognize problems/weaknesses/constraints and impacts on other programs, summarizes results in order to make appropriate recommendations/changes and develop short term and long range administrative and management support plans
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally in writing by providing accurate and effective staff summary analysis and briefings/presentations to all management levels
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
