Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Budget Analyst , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Monitors, reviews, and reconciles commitments, obligations, reimbursable orders, etc. Performs complex budget development, formulation and/or execution functions for substantive HHS programs or administrative budget areas. Works with managers and program specialists in the development of annual work plans and schedules for the execution of approved budgets. Recommends reprogramming and adjustments to work plans to account for changes in funding levels, program changes, and legislative mandates. Plans and schedules for the execution of approved budgets. Assures that obligations incurred and resulting expenditures of funds are in accordance with pertinent laws and regulations. Identifies issues and provides recommendations for resolution of complex problems.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing at least ALL of the following: 1.) Independently reviewing, analyzing, consolidating, and/or revising budget estimates. 2.) Assisting with analyzing and developing cost projections and expenditures across single or multi-year funding sources. 3.) Utilizing accounting and financial management systems to perform complex data analysis and modeling. Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC.
