This position is located in DHS/U.S. Coast Guard, Director of Operational Logistics, 7th Coast Guard District, Base Miami, Naval Engineering Support Unit Miami, Industrial Production Facility, Miami Beach, FL.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible for performing electrical work in support of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Naval Engineering Support Unit, Industrial Operations Division, which involves the repair, alteration, modification, testing, installation and checking of all types of electrical equipment and for evaluating circuitry required to power the equipment of USCG shore and ship units.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:Installing, modifying, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and loading new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment.Installing all types of electrical equipment such as motors, generators, converters, Inverters, alternators, frequency modulators, transformers, controllers and switchboards.Maintaining and repairing consisting of selecting and ordering the proper materials and possessing the various skills necessary for the proper installation of this material.Installing new circuits, distribution panels, transformers, outlets, power systems controls, motors, fire alarm systems and air conditioning systems.
