About the Position: You will serve as the Executive Assistant to The United States Army Auditor General and Principal Deputy Auditor General. You will provide executive direction, assistance, and support for all Executive Office administrative operations. You will provide managerial continuity on administrative policies, processes and procedures. You will provide administrative support in the form of calendar maintenance/scheduling, travel planning/coordination, and office supply management.
Duties
Review incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Review completed actions for priority, content, security markings, to ensure that issues are correctly addressed.
Prepare all personal correspondence.
Coordinate and develop material and arrangements for briefings, meetings and scheduled visits by dignitaries and staff officials.
Conduct research for developing material for use in preparing oral presentations or written material.
Assess progress of projects and taskings.
Provide executive advisory service to senior staff on management and administrative policies supporting the accomplishment of the Agency's mission.
Manage and coordinate the establishment, publication, and periodic review of all formal administrative policies, and executive office directives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain an INTERIM Secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain a fully adjudicated Secret security clearance during employment.

Specialized Experience:
GS-7:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal service which includes experience gathering information, identifying issues, maintaining calendars, preparing correspondence, briefings, reports, slides, etc., and receiving and reviewing incoming mail.
GS-9:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service which includes experience gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues, maintaining calendars, preparing and reviewing correspondence, briefings, reports, slides, etc., and receiving and reviewing incoming mail.
GS-11:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service which includes experience gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues, maintaining calendars, preparing and reviewing correspondence, briefings, reports, slides, etc., and receiving and reviewing incoming mail and determining which requires immediate personal attention.
GS-12:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service which includes experience gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues, and developing recommendations to resolve substantive problems of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent
Education
Some positions allow education as a substitution for experience. For this position, education can be substituted for grade levels GS-7, GS-9 and GS-11.
GS-7:
1 full year of graduate level education or achieved superior academic achievement in my undergraduate degree. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification)
GS-9:
Master's degree or have completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or have obtained a LL.B. or J.D. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification)
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or have completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or have obtained a LL.M. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification)
GS-12:
Education substitution is not allowed, you must qualify for this grade level based on your experiences in your resume.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
