You will serve as a Components Induction Specialist in the Centralized Coordination Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will conduct intensive research into missing items scheduled to be inducted into the depot production cycle, and not reflected as actually inducted. You will ensure accurate reporting of all components inducted into the depot. You will Investigate required interface with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to resolve discrepancies between number of items received and items inducted and not reflected in tracking system. You will be required to conduct a physical search in the facility after review of component documentation and determination of potential discrepancies. You will reconcile components scheduled for induction and those actually inducted by correcting system data.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (INSERT TITLE), proficiency level (INSERT LEVEL) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to conduct in-depth research based on planning and induction cycle to reconcile discrepancies between scheduled and inducted components and parts. 2) Knowledge of the production organization to include induction and storage systems and methods required to complete the induction process. 3) Ability to conduct research to determine identification of parts and components and to ensure appropriate packaging and storage requirements. 4) Knowledge of the production cycles to determine the status of work in process and provide input and assistance back to the Planners. 5) Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with personnel supporting the production effort to obtain their cooperation and assistance in the coordination and induction of products into the production process. 6) Knowledge of the various documents associated with the induction, storage, and return of products to DLA or to the customer. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
