You will serve as a team lead Inventory Management Specialist in the Industrial Logistics Division of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will analyze inventories to forecast operation needs. You will maintain inventory control of stock levels to determine stock replenishment for supplies and materials. You will assign work to junior employees based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, or capabilities. You will develop inventory training plans for use across several teams. You will write inventory policies in support of mission requirements.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Ensuring the accuracy of MFG supportability checks and providing estimated supportability dates for items being quoted for MFG by outside entities (Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), NAVSEA etc.); 2) Accurately tracking and processing of all AVDLR requirements; 3) Working with DLA, NAVSUP, JLT, PCs, and other groups (both internal and external of FRCSE) to ensure that the JLTs can report accurate status of all material requirements needed to support WIP; 4) Distributing and balancing workload among employees based on established workflow or job specialization and ensuring that each employee has enough work; 5) Providing on the job training, as needed, to team members in accordance with established procedures and practices; 6) reviewing and reporting on material delay, elevating supply constraints, and ensuring the accuracy of material requirements during and after execution of Work in Progress. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
