You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will assist with internal and external inventory audit support across all inventory segments. You will investigate problems as they occur, recommend resolutions, and report through the chain of command. You will conduct and coordinate oversight for local Inventory Management. You will identify and define reporting and reconciliation processes from site system to Navy Enterprise Resource Program (ERP). You will be responsible for ensuring transactions and material movements are entered into Navy Enterprise Resource Program (ERP). You will assist customers in developing work methods, techniques, and standard operating procedures (SOP) for Navy Working Capital Fund - Supply Management (NWCF-SM) operations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of governing inventory management and supply regulations, inventory accuracy policies and physical inventory, and location survey and/or quality control procedures, in order to research, analyze, investigate and recommend solutions to discrepancies that occur, as well as evaluate and improve accountability procedures and inventory record accuracy. Examples of: 1) Monitoring performance measures related to material inventory control to ensure timeframe and benchmarks are being met; 2) Ensuring data integrity of all inventory transactions and material movements entered into Navy Enterprise Resource Program (ERP); 3) Researching inventory data and information, analyzing that information, and converting that analysis into written reports; 4) Conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for information and reconstructing inventory management records/ supply/transportation transactions in order to ensure inventory record accuracy and auditability. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

Successful completion of LL.M., if related
or

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
