You will serve as a EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES, AND SERVICE SPECIALIST in the Facility & Equipment Maintenance Division (KN26) of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will review and analyze work orders and material requirements, and reports shortfalls to cognizant contact(s). You will recommend changes in schedules, routing, and processes when deemed appropriate. You will resolve shortfalls, i.e., material not ordered upon initial inspection, material shorted in kits, material deficient from vendor, etc., within the work centers for the applicable maintenance area. You will order/stock material accumulation and/or kitting areas for receipt, accountability, storage and issue of ready for use parts and assemblies. You will print and route Support Equipment work documentation and performs logs and records requirements as well as tech data support as needed. You will coordinate with appropriate contact(s) to ensure Work-in-Process (WIP) has the necessary parts/materials in accordance with the plan.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of industrial operations material requirements, inventory control, material substitution criteria, and established policies and procedures; 2) Applying knowledge of Support Equipment work documentation and record keeping requirements; 3) Monitoring status of work, validating data, and coordinating completion of supporting actions; and 4) Developing reports, spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, graphs, and flowcharts relating to trending data (analysis) and workload. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of industrial operations material requirements, inventory control, material substitution criteria, and established policies and procedures involved in the repair of Common Support Equipment; 2) Applying knowledge of Support Equipment work documentation and record keeping requirements in accordance with CNAF 4790.2 Series and other established procedures; 3) Monitoring status of work, validating data, and coordinating completion of supporting actions through MAXIMO and other databases; and 4) Developing, preparing, and reviewing reports, spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, graphs, and flowcharts relating to trending data (analysis) and workload. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-07:

Successfully completed one full year of graduate level education.

GS:09:

Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.

OR

Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.

OR

Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
