You will serve as a DEPUTY AVIATION MAINTENANCE OFFICER in the Force Maintenance (N42) of COMMANDER NAVAL AIR PACIFIC.

Duties

You will direct and oversee all aspects related to the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP). You will supervise the planning and developing of policy directives and procedures that pertain to aviation maintenance training programs. You will direct the overall technical, logistics, inventory, and management production associated with aircraft, engines, avionics and aircrew systems. You will coordinate readiness and support logistics for all organizational and intermediate level maintenance activities. You will inform and advice on all aviation readiness and matters through oral and written communication with outstanding and analytical capabilities. You will provide statistical data analysis and reports and coordinate resolution of complex issues.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, developing, and maintaining the operation of Aviation Force Maintenance and Logistics Programs for mission readiness.
