You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the Total Force Manpower N1 division of COMNAVREG SE JAX.

Duties

You will design program goals and objectives for a regionalized human resources office providing multiple services (e.g., recruitment, staffing, classification). You will evaluate human resource workforce performance to identify training and development needs for employees. You will analyze the duties of a position to determine the correct title, pay plan, series, and grade level. You will advise hiring managers and selecting officials on recruitment strategies for attracting the best qualified candidates for vacant positions.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising management on personnel policies to include position classification and staffing and recruitment; 2) Executing recruitment, reassignment and other personnel actions in accordance with federal laws, policies, rules and regulations; 3) Reviewing and analyzing position descriptions utilizing federal classification standards; 4) Applying position management principles and techniques to provide management advisory services regarding organizational structures and career development; 5) Resolving problems, answering questions and providing guidance on complex staffing and position classification problems utilizing human resource tools and systems.
