You will serve as a OPERATIONS MANAGER in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH. You will manage the operational activity for the command, assisting the Director in the coordination and execution of command level functions.
Salary Range by Location:
Marinette, WI - $86,962 to $134,435
Bath, ME - $98,240 to $151,870
San Diego, CA - $99,044 to $153,113
Duties
You will develop and implement plans to manage the command's inspection activity in preparation of IG inspection.
You will provide status and recommendations to the Corporate Operations Director, ensuring barriers, issues are communicated.
You will manage iNation and innovation program, ensuring ideas are evaluated, coordinated and completed in accordance with instructions.
You will develop command level briefs in support of various activities such as SUPSHIP Board of Director meetings, 04 communications, etc.
You will incorporate continuous process improvement methods to command's support structure, ensuring operational processes are standardized throughout the command locations.
You will develop and implement strategies with regard to training processes, curriculum development, command mandatory training requirements, and employee development.
You will manage the mentoring program established by the command, ensuring the process is executed on an annual basis and conducting evaluation activity.
You will analyze annual Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) and organization climate surveys (DEOCS).
You will supervise the Operations/Development team that includes employee development and command strategic planning/innovation.
You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and appraise staff performance.
You will have expert knowledge of all phases of the Civilian Personnel Training Program and management objectives in order to assure proper implementation of the program at the Command Level.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating operational practices and programs to identify inefficiencies and make process improvement recommendations for a shipbuilding program.
