You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Employee Benefits/OA) in the DON Civilian Benefits Center.
THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT.
Duties
You will perform clerical work requiring substantial knowledge of civilian personnel employee benefits program terminology, requirements, procedures, and functions for documents, reports, organizational records, mail, and miscellaneous support.
You will use electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF), Human Resources Link (HRLink), Total Workforce Management System (TWMS), Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and the CBC workload tracking system (BATS).
You will perform office automation work, which requires knowledge of general office automation software and is typically performed on a microcomputer or mainframe network.
You will prepare letters, documents, reports and labels using Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. Maintains databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
Experience applying knowledge of administrative support duties in a human resources office environment.
Experience retrieving information and maintaining suspense records to support recruitment operations.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook.
Experience performing general office administrative and clerical procedures.
