About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) located in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Serves as Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Military) with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of military HR program areas to all levels of management officials.
Develops guidance, procedures, and standards for new and/or changing program areas i.e. including processing awards.
Prepares and presents reports and briefings on program status and/or recommend action to senior leaders.
Assists in gathering and analyzing data and prepares a variety of management reports, charts, and graphs relative to the awards programs. Maintains files and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Consolidates rating scheme information for the headquarters and applicable major subordinate command for approval.
Assists in analyzing military HR management issues and problems and develops recommendations and alternative solutions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Temporary Duty Travel is required 10% of the time.
- May be required to complete a one year probationary period.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
