You will serve as an Assistant Inspector General (Inspections) in the Office of the Inspector General (IG) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will plan, coordinate, and conduct inspections of subordinate Headquarters, U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) organizations.
You will be responsible for development of inspection plans, pre-inspection planning and analysis, conduct of the on-site inspection, and review of the findings.
You will research, collect, organize, review, and analyze information both before the inspection begins and throughout the entire inspection process.
You will develop investigative plans, find facts, gather and evaluate evidence, identify, vet and interview witnesses, determine weight of evidence and exercise broad judgement in determining merit of allegations and reaching conclusions.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Fieldwork can require travel to remote locations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of management and organizational principles to review and analyze complex mission and functional requirements, identify areas of operational inefficiency, and/or develop recommendations for corrective action. Examples of specialized experience include most or all of the following: 1) Gathers, analyzes, and presents facts to solve problems; 2) Develops solutions to complex problems; 3) Prepares final written reports.
