Duties

As a Special Assistant, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Plan, direct, and execute liaison operations for critical department-wide programs, with national or international implications. Coordinate the contribution of other writers or subject-area experts to important documents. Coordinate implementation of projects and policies and keeps the supervisor informed of activities and events that may affect programs and policies.

Requirements

  • Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Developing and implementing administrative management policies. Developing, maintaining, and accessing various administrative databases and spreadsheets used for analyses and decision making by all levels of management. Developing long-range management plans for the effective and efficient operation of the organization. Developing policy guidance on the management of all types of communications directed to the attention of the organization's highest-level executives.
