This position is in Farm Loan Branch, Direct Loan Division (DLD), Servicing and Asset Management Office (SAMO), Business Center - Operations Office, Direct Loan Division, Rural Development (RD), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The incumbent processes financial transactions and provides efficient financial services in support of the organization's cost-effective loan servicing/asset management programs.
Duties
Monitor, control and analyze a variety of financial transactions and reports on an assigned portion of RD-serviced loan portfolio.
Analyze large amounts of information, identifies problems and provides solutions based on considerable research.
Document, monitor, and maintain the internal control structure to ensure that all work products are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform quality control reviews of payment application methodologies to ensure they conform to the programs regulations and policies.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
For the GS-09 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-07); or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: experience certifying the adequacy and accuracy of disbursements, preparing financial reports using automated computer systems and programs, and processing financial transactions, and designing/testing automated programs within the loan servicing systems.
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field, OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LLB or J.D., if related. Equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying at this grade level. Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, banking and credit, real estate operations. (NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts if using education to qualify.)

A combination of education as described and specialized experience.
