As a Security Specialist, you'll provide assistance in supporting comprehensive agency wide security management policies and plans. Additionally, you'll provide technical assistance to ensure policies and plans are properly developed, coordinated, and implemented in relation to GSA's mission and associated functional roles and responsibilities.
Location of position: Personnel Security Branch, Office of Mission Assurance, Washington, DC.

You will perform the following duties as a Security Specialist:

- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date.
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
- Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing and evaluating security programs; implementation of policies, procedures, and standards concerning security, suitability and continuous vetting programs for the organization.
