Duties

Determines eligibility, entitlements, and options available to personnel proceeding on government official travel. Determines eligibility, entitlements by utilizing a diverse range of publications, including the Joint Federal Travel regulations, DoD procedures, manuals, and directives, government contracted rates and contractor provided computerized programs. Counsel members/travels and prepares documents for port calls, dependent travel, and emergency leave travel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess a Tier 1 (NACI) Investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 5% of the times

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service performing the following duties which include: 1) determining travel entitlements on various types of order/authorization for service member, civilian employees, and dependents based on travel regulations; 2) reconciling transportation accounts utilizing a computer based system; 3) reviewing contract specifications related to travel operations; and 4) organizing group movement operation on various modes of transportation. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information ManagementTechnical DocumentationTransportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
