You will serve as a Maintenance Supervisor I in the Production Division, Public Works Department Kittery of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will plan work schedules and the sequence of operations for the work force supervised. You will assign work to subordinates either orally, by providing written instructions, or electronically through the Computerized Facilities Management System. You will inspect work in progress to ensure productivity, efficiency, economy, and safety of operations. You will enforce safety, fire, and other regulations, and see that good housekeeping is maintained in work areas supervised.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You may at anytime be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the commuting area.
