You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the Safety, Inspection and Material Management Branch (AD4150M), Aircraft Instrumentation Division (AD4100M), and Prototyping, Instrumentation and Experimentation Department (AD4000M) of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
You will serve as a Safety, Inspection and Material Management Branch Head at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division located at duty station Patuxent River, Maryland.
Duties
You will develop and implement the processes necessary to ensure that the design, fabrication, testing, documentation, and delivery of the data product meet NAVAIR safety standards.
You will provide administrative and technical supervision of subordinate employees in the Branch.
You will oversee all technical project work within the Safety, Inspection and Material Management Branch.
You will develop and oversee the compliance with standard operating procedures, local operating procedures and processes, cognizance of current OPNAVINST 4790.2 specifications and other applicable instructions.
You will work closely with project leads and Branch Heads, attend reviews, remain cognizant of ongoing project status, address issues, and determine acceptability of project proposals.
You will hear and resolve employee concerns, initiate corrective actions as needed and engage senior leadership when the severity, impact or complexity of the issue warrants.
You will incorporate customer requirements and AID goals in decisions affecting the Branch, while ensuring subordinate team leaders/branch members have tools and information needed to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
You will demonstrate extensive practical and professionally seasoned expertise with regards to working on an aircraft environment.
You will demonstrate cognizance of the OPNAVINST 4790.2 Instruction and the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-9/11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Supporting and providing services in the areas of quality assurance, quality control, configuration management, article inspection, workplace safety, process development, material management and the associated reporting and documentation;
2) Developing and overseeing the compliance with standard operating procedures, local operating procedures and processes, and other applicable instructions;
3) Utilizing assigned instructions and maintenance programs to efficiently complete a task;
4) Providing the resources necessary to plan, coordinate, and execute aircraft instrumentation quality assurance, quality control, workplace safety, and material management;
5) Demonstrating a thorough understanding of aircraft platforms; and
6) Using Tool Control and Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) prevention principles effectively.
