The primary purpose of this position is responsible for data and program analysis related to supply chain forecasting, collaboration processes, enterprise engagement, closing the gap between forecasting and supply planning and execution. Support efforts to alleviate supply chain constraints, as well as support strategies that better enable support and throughput.
Duties
Serves as workload forecasting liaison with a variety of stakeholders. Using logistics management and budget forecasting experience, analyzes, develops, and evaluates issues and develops recommendations to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations supporting workload forecasting for a major repair group category within the Sustainment Center and Major Command.
Completes a wide variety of complex assignments, logistics analysis, and research projects. Documents planning and programming recommendations/decisions in appropriate formats to meet Air Force, Major Command, Sustainment Center, Wing, and Group level requirements.
Prepares briefings and papers to present at workshops, meetings and working groups.
Responsible for tracking and analyzing Demand Forecast Accuracy (DFA).

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, General Schedule Positions, Management and Program Analysis Series, 0343. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes the ability to analyze the function of maintenance organizations, provides program guidance and detailed operation planning in support of the mission and installation, advise leadership and team on substantial issues and provides complex leadership support services while actively communicating objectives to different levels of audiences. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structure, and operation of the DoD and Air Force.
2. Ability to independently analyze historical data, reported usage, trends, failure data, past and future program data from supply chain systems.
3. Ability to organize new ideas, project, studies, and methodologies.
4. Knowledge of the application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
5. Ability to integrate data analysis techniques and procedures across multiple organizations and refine into a single model.
6. Knowledge of agency program goals and objectives and the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones.
7. Ability to use Microsoft Access and Excel to analyze large data sets.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
