This position is located in Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP) and provides support in the areas of planning, analyzing, and/or evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of management, programs, and operations.

Duties
Provides a wide variety of program-based support services with respect to analyzing the efficiency and effectiveness of DCP programs, projects and initiatives.
Develops project plans and plans for special events, establishing personnel and resource requirements, and communicating objectives in collaboration with management and senior team members to promote effective and efficient use of resources.
Coordinates engagement with multiple internal and external administrative contacts regarding events and projects, serving as oversight manager on contracts for services, negotiating as necessary and guiding contributions of junior team members to achieve key objectives while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies.
Monitors projects and conducts detailed briefings and prepares comprehensive reports, leveraging technology and perspectives of management and senior team members, to keep managers and executives apprised of progress and assess long-term resource needs. Outlines recommendations on whether to retain, modify, or eliminate program practices.
Develops internal operating procedures; resolves functional conflicts and internal problems; develops new approaches as necessary.
Identifies and provides analysis of issues, problems, and challenges facing the program; formulates and evaluates courses of action to resolve them; draws conclusions based on relevant facts; develops solutions for review and implementation. Problems and issues addressed may include matters such as program staffing levels and/or models, development or review and modification of practices and procedures, and distribution of program services.
Identifies and develops ways to resolve problems or cope with issues which directly affect the accomplishment of principal DCP program goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience (1) analyzing and evaluating data-driven program functions (such as research, analytics, business intelligence, or market analysis) for the purpose of making them more efficient and effective; and (2) ensuring operational compliance with administrative requirements, including with respect to hosted public events with more than 50 participants.
