You will serve as a CHIEF OF STAFF for TEAM SUBMARINE of AUKUS INTEGRATION AND ACQUISITION. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Duties

You will provide oversight for day-to-day operations, manpower, performance appraisal, personnel career training, and security to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with regulations. You will develop and coordinate program office policies, standard procedures, and processes to execute mission and enhance operational efficiency. You will maintain continuous awareness of overall organization activities and coordinate on administrative efficiency. You will ensure effective coordination and collaboration regularly with internal leadership on programmatic and administrative issues to ensure guidance, direction, and assignments are effectively executed. You will provide review and follow up on internal organization structure organization-directed assignments and assure goals, objectives, and deadlines are met. You will provide advisory and administrative support services pertaining to civilian positions and personnel actions including employee relations, recruitment and placement, and position classification. You will monitor and evaluate operational performance metrics, conduct regular assessments and implement corrective action as necessary to maintain high standards of quality and effectiveness.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the development or execution of policies, programs, and life cycle operations to ensure compliance with procedures when meeting organizational goals or objectives.
