This position is in Region 2, Mission Support Division, Human Resources Branch.  About : Region 2. This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as interpreting and applying a wide range of human resources (HR) policies and procedures related to workforce planning, human capital management, staffing, performance management, recognition management, and/or training. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of Human Resource Management principles, concepts, and practices. Ability to provide analytical based advice on human capital management issues. Knowledge of HR functional areas (i.e. recruitment and placement, classification, Labor and Employee Relations, etc.). Knowledge of Human Resources regulations, policies, and procedures. Skill in oral communication. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
