Duties
You will ensure travel documents are properly reviewed and approved with all required supporting documentation in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and instructions (i.e. Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)) etc.)
You will serve as an Alternate Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for the command’s Government Travel Charge Card Program.
You will be responsible for cardholder account maintenance.
You will act as liaison between the cardholder and bank to resolve issues.
You will monitor and take appropriate actions to ensure compliance with DON delinquency metrics.
You will run mandatory reports; research and resolve discrepancies.
You will provide support to the Primary APC with internal reviews and audits.
You will research travel documents in the official accounting and travel systems to resolve travel rejects and clear dormant documents to ensure accurate financial postings.
You will initiate miscellaneous payments in the invoice processing system (e.g. WAWF/iRAPT).
You will assist CBA Specialist with the reconciliation and certification process of monthly invoices.
You will perform and provide customer service to travelers, DTS officials, and commands by assisting in the various areas or stages of authorization and voucher processing in DTS.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: processing travel documents utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS) as a Reviewing/Approving official, analyzing travel issues that require substantial corrective action and/or complicated adjustments AND have a working knowledge of financial systems (e.g. CITIDIRECT, DAI, SABRS, WAWF,iRAPT, etc.).
GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the oversight of travel processing for organizational personnel.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
OR
Superior Academic Achievement (must have been gained in qualifying for the position to be filled)
