You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SYSTEMS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
Duties
You will serve as a principal advisor and technical expert to the Department Head, Deputy, and key staff members on financial management activities and business operations.
You will provide oversight regarding fiscal policy and law, risk analysis, Internal Management Controls, budget, contracts, and program matters.
You will be responsible for interpreting financial policies and procedures and making business process recommendations for effective operations within Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as well as external interfaces.
You will be responsible for providing effective customer service and ensuring appropriate feedback mechanisms are established and maintained.
You will oversee a unit comprised of personnel (including off-site personnel), coordinate training and work with subordinate staff on career development.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading and mentoring teams in financial management and business operations to develop plans and strategies improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management, program management, and contracting functions for an organization.
