Qualifications

In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below:
To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level defined as planning and/or coordinating support service functions (e.g. procurement, property and facilities management, security, etc.); and providing program analyses for an organization.
3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree; or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; the education must be directly related and provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
equivalent combination of education and experience
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as experience providing facility management services including the coordination of safety, security, or occupant emergency plans; providing warehouse operations oversight to include receiving personal property in accordance with an agency property management program.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of substantive administrative support services.
Ability to study and evaluate the effectiveness of support services provided.
Ability to develop guidance and procedures for new service delivery methods or techniques.
Ability to analyze and advise on new administrative requirements and formulate implementing guidance and instructions covering the administrative aspects of regional operations.
Knowledge of General Service Administration (GSA) regulations and policies pertaining to supply management, mail, property management, and fleet management.
Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the use of program and related support resources.
Knowledge of administrative agency regulations, systems and procedures, and management and organizational techniques.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
