You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Division, Infrastructure Management Division, Corporate Operations Department of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will serve as Assistant Security Manager (ASM) reporting to and acting as alter ego to the Security Manager (SM) fully sharing with the ASM the direction of all phases of the organization’s security management program. You will organize work activities, manage resources, communicate mission requirements, support command policies and procedures and provide policy guidance and interpretation for operation, maintenance, and management. You will give advice, counsel, or instruct employees on both work and administrative matters. You will hear and resolve complaints from employees referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager. You will manage and implement Insider Threat Program (InTP) development, coordination, formulation and application of InTP security policies, procedures, systems, training exercise and programs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical oversight, developing performance plans, and ratings and assigning work to subordinate positions. Developing, coordinating, security policies, procedures, and training exercises. Advising, counseling, or instructing employees on both work and administrative matters. Managing and directing security programs. Implementing Insider Threat Program (InTp) development, coordination, formulation and application of the security policies, procedures, exercise and investigation and consequences management.
