About the Position: Serve as the principal Army program analyst for Joint training and exercises for the Collective Training Division within the Training Directorate of HQDA DCS G-3/5/7. This position is located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Serve as the senior Army exercise and Joint training program analyst.
Develop Army exercise and Joint Training policy.
Develop, interpret, and implement policies and procedures to govern joint training and Army exercise planning, programming, and budget processes.
Develop and maintain Army policy in AR 350-1 for Army exercises.
Represent the Army at working groups, steering groups, or other meetings, conferences, seminars, etc. and host meetings with ACOMs, ASCCs representatives to discuss/resolve exercise and joint training issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Up to 10% TDY may be required.
- Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.

GS-14 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes plan and coordinate joint training events; develop joint training and exercise policies; and assess current resourcing strategies and provide risk-informed recommendations on shortfalls. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
GS-14 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
