Duties

Serve as the primary Point of Contact for the Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs') Facilities Management (FM) organizations within the Sustainment, Restoration, Modernization, Portfolio Manager (SRM-PM's) specific Area of Responsibility (AORs). Responsible for identifying, analyzing and developing SRM project requirements using applicable Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support system (DMLSS) modules and reports. Serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of facility operations, including programs and services essential to keeping the medical facility assets in good reliable condition and to maintain a safe and healthy environment of care. Perform a wide variety of extremely complex and specialized duties encompassing planning, developing and evaluating projects. Responsible for monitoring project management within the framework of Project Management Business Process, inter-agency obligations, laws, regulations, policies and broad theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering methods.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with medical facilities operations and maintenance management, aiding in the development of project plans, and reviewing facility improvement recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
