About the Position:
This position supports the mission of the DHA J-8 Facilities Enterprise and is located in San Antonio, TX.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Duties
Provides technical services to supported MHS and coordinates organizational directives and objectives with DHA organizations.
Coordinates and monitor critical incident reports input from subordinate unit facility director?s offices.
Assists MHS staff with input of project management data in FM module including requirements identification, project bundling, project approvals and funding requirements.
Assists in performing duties relevant real property inventory data and real property functions for the MHS, which consists of thousands of individual medical buildings, requiring millions of dollars in operations and maintenance workload.
Assists in managing automated equipment distribution, research, analyze and troubleshoots system problems.
Optimizes computer utilization, maintaining security of implemented systems and providing local program support and coordination for DHA activities.
Assists in preparing policy and procedural guidelines for incorporation based on new systems and database changes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing data collection queries of maintenance trends, provide guidance in developing policies/procedures, conducting cost analysis for resource allocation, and developing preventive maintenance programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
