About the Position: This position is located in the Northwestern Division (NWD) - Directorates of Programs - Operations Division. As Chief, Program Support Division (PDS), the incumbent is responsible to the Director, Programs Directorate for overall program formulation, management, programming, administration, and evaluation of the NWD Regulatory Program and the NWD Operations and Maintenance Program.
Duties
Manages 410 million-dollar Operations and Maintenance General and 21 million-dollar Regulatory programs for the Division.
Performs strategic planning for the overall division Operations program, including short and long-range restructuring initiatives.
Provides program quality assurance and advice to the Director and Commander on Operations and Maintenance, Environmental Compliance, and Regulatory activities.
Exercises command and control for the Commander with regard to Operations and Maintenance, Environmental Compliance and Regulatory Programs for subordinate districts.
Manages a staff of approximately 10 individuals and 2 team leaders.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing program formulation, management, programming, administration, and evaluation of Operations and Maintenance programs such as, Navigation, Regulatory, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Compliance, Recreation, Flood damage reduction, Critical Project Security and Hydropower. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
