As an Administrative Management Specialist at the GS-0301-12, you will be part of Retirement Services Office of Personnel Management. The incumbent will perform a variety of administrative and analytical duties. Assisting the Associate Director for Retirement Services (RS), Deputy Associate Directors for Retirement Operations and Administrative Operations or designees in carrying out responsibilities related to a variety of OPM activities and initiatives.
Duties
Reviewing work for timeliness, procedural correctness, completeness, and apparent responsiveness to requirements.
Managing schedules for senior official, including assessing circumstances and managing the priority of various obligations.
Writing and reviewing responses for the supervisor to assure appropriate substance and format of content.
Analyzing incoming and outgoing correspondence to determine clarity, appropriateness, and accuracy of information.
Attending senior staff meetings, document action items and follow up to ensure that commitments made at the meetings are met.
Qualifications
For the GS12: You must have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing ALL of the following duties:
1)Managing schedules and calendars; and
2)Reviewing and analyzing correspondence; and
3)Planning and coordinating activities and correspondence to include briefs and electronic documents; and
4) Analyzing data for non-technical audiences.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 12 level.
