You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST (ANTITERRORISM) in the COMMANDER, NAVY RESERVE FORCES COMMAND (CNRFC) N34 on NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY HAMPTON ROADS of COMNAVRESFORCOM.

Duties

You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist and Deputy Anti-terrorism Officer providing expertise across the full spectrum of Force Protection and Anti-terrorism disciplines. You will develop, coordinate, monitor, analyze, and evaluate the status of all REDCOMs and NRCs Anti-Terrorism programs. You will plan, formulate, and coordinate all matters pertaining to the protection and security of personnel, property and material against terrorist threats. You will review plans, policies, guidance, and agreements for accuracy, and currency. You will identify potential security gaps and vulnerabilities in established plans governing an asset or facilitys protection architecture. You will conduct physical inspections of facilities and assets to determine physical security related vulnerabilities to potential terrorist activities or targeted attacks.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This position requires extensive travel away from the normal duty station. Travel may be required by car, bus, train, and/or airplane to include military aircraft. Travel may be required. (50%)
  • Occasionally requires work in outside areas in order to inspect facilities and security posts, employ specialized antiterrorism equipment and site visits at construction sites.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, organizing, administering, coordinating and evaluating all aspects of a Readiness Commands full spectrum of Force Protection (FP) Law enforcement operations and Antiterrorism (AT) disciplines, regarding physical, informational, operational, industrial, and personnel security. Experience planning, coordinating, scheduling and conducting Anti-Terrorism Working Groups, Committees, Executive Boards, Threat Working Groups, for a commands Anti-Terrorism programs risk analysis. Experience assessing Anti-Terrorism policies, systems and procedures applying public law, Executive Orders, and military service directives to ensure a viable Anti-Terrorism program exists at all applicable Readiness, Mobilization Commands and Reserve Centers for protection against criminal, terrorist, and or hostile activities. Experience planning and executing the implementation of new and emergent Anti-Terrorism policies, resolution of complex vulnerabilities and possible threats to Readiness and Reserve Centers.
