About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located within the Southwest Georgia Martin Army Community Hospital Patient Administration Medical Records Boards Located in Fort Moore, GA. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supply Technician (MVO) that performs supply, customer assistance and customer service for the organization and serviced areas.
Duties
Receive, edit, and process incoming supply request for the medical facility.
Edit requests for supplies submitted by organizational personnel to determine special supply action required.
Adapt quickly and effectively to new or changing situations and frequent deviations from established procedures.
Compile and furnish to supervisor budgetary data including justification for any unusual needs.
Ensures grammatical correctness of final reports for organization.
Serve as contact point for assistance to customers regarding office or medical supplies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter.
- This position requires a pre-employment physical examination.
- This position requires you to possess a valid driver's license.
- This position requires lifting up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position requires a completed Financial Disclosure, OGE-450 upon placement into the position and annually thereafter.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a hepatitis screening.
- This position may require the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing pending requirements established by the command.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience ordering medical and/or non-medical supplies for an organization; entering data into inventory logs or registers; documenting receipt of incoming inventory. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
