You will serve as a COMPOSITE/PLASTIC FABRICATOR in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Production Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will independently perform Double Vacuum Debulk (DVD) repairs and fabricate parts or patches for use in repair, modification, or part replacement.
You will use and independently determine the appropriate sealants and adhesives as required.
You will use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating various standard industrial machines, equipment, special fixtures, various autoclaves, ovens and other highly technical equipment and/or tooling used in composite rework operations.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

1) Repairing, modifying, and fabricating composite or plastic items and assemblies with straight and curved surfaces and a number of interconnecting parts and components; 2) Performing Double Vacuum Debulk (DVD) repairs and fabricating parts or patches for use in repair, modification, or part replacement; 3) Performing sanding, grinding, drilling metallic and fibrous materials; 4) Performing the most complex work associated with the Rotor Blade Repairer functions; 5) Installing components, performing layouts, drilling holes, countersinks, cutting metals, reams, and assisting in the manufacture of call plates, fixtures, anchor nuts jigs, etc.
