You will serve as a COMPOSITE FABRICATOR LEADER (AIRCRAFT) in the Production Floor Trades Division of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will lead a group of at least four (4) Low Observables (LO) journeyman or workers in performing depot level maintenance on assigned aircraft.
You will ensure that necessary directives, blueprints, materials, and tools are available.
You will obtain necessary information and/or guidance from the supervisor on constraints that arise during the work shift.
You will perform signature assessments of Low Observable Coating for damage, integrity, and overall Low Observable (LO) System status of the aircraft.
You will translate blueprint illustrations to design plastic templates to scale for use on surface of aircraft and subassemblies.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION
1) Working with computer based aircraft documentation and signature assessment systems used to track low observable system health and maintenance; 2) Fabricating, designing, modifying and repairing F-35 aircraft structural components, assemblies, and sub- assemblies; 3) Sanding and painting equipment; 4) Reading and/or working with various blueprints, process specifications, engineering directives, and technical data related to F-35 aircraft maintenance; 5) Painting and applying various types of radar absorbing materials and metal impregnated liquid paints; 6) Mixing and measuring materials to achieve accurate ratio, color, and light refraction.
