Duties
As a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) at the GS-0303-6 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Directly assists Chief, Future Operations Division and staff in the management of administrative support program functions.
Serves as the subject matter expert for mandated administrative support programs.
Provides clerical and administrative support to the office/organization. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office.
Performs miscellaneous office automation, information management, and receptionist duties.
Performs administrative review of all correspondence and documents for administrative completeness and correctness.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-6, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service:
Uses advanced office automation and word processing functions to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, spreadsheets and other textual documents.
Assists in accomplishing all necessary internal operations to include administrative training, security, development of organizational operating instructions and regulations, and personnel assistance.
Provides advice and guidance to staff in the organization on administrative, clerical, and procedural requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
