You will serve as an Executive Assistant in the Administration Department of FLTREADCEN WEST DET.
Duties
You will serve as secretary and personal assistant to the Officer in Charge (OIC), providing a wide range of assistance to the OIC and other staff members; and serve as the Common Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA).
You will respond to a variety of substantive requests for programs and statistical information.
You will research through files and drafts explanatory narratives and summaries in a clear, concise and logical manner on the basis of the unique information needs of internal and external requestors.
You will manage and prioritize office communications and workflow, types a variety of letters, memoranda and reports as required,
You will perform clerical and administrative supportive tasks, organize and maintain the filing systems, keeps inventory of required office supplies, develop databases to track required data and a tickler file for periodic required responses.
You will maintain the OIC’s calendar. Schedule appointments on own initiative based on personal knowledge of the OIC’s current workload and level of importance.
You will serve as the designated CPPA for 82 active-duty personnel that range from E1 to O5 providing support for a range of personnel actions.
You will plan and organize meetings, conferences and workshops; prepare agendas, notify participants, arrange luncheons and social activities, and a myriad of other logistics that are vital to the accomplishment of the conference.
You will attend and record minutes at meetings, summarizes points and issues discussed, distributes the minutes and follows up for comments.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector executing administrative and clerical functions for an organization (e.g., customer service, data input, correspondence, file management, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, etc.) and using automated systems to accurately maintain records, develop reports, and provide overall support.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of one academic year of graduate education in a course of study that directly reflects the job-related KSAs/competencies necessary to satisfy the minimum qualifications and perform the duties of the position;
OR
a combination of graduate education as described above and experience that equates to one year of experience.
