Duties

Conduct analysis and recommending resolution of complex issues affecting the health care specialty programs. Diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported problems. Provide technical guidance and support on the functionality of systems, networks, and data to Health Informatics Officer. Communicate risks and challenges with resolution(s) to better maintain clinical and administrative processes that support patient care. Analyze and define issues, interpret information on health care policies, standards, and guidelines, to better maintain clinical and administrative processes that support patient care. Perform analysis on all clinical, business, and administrative workflows at the Network level and oversees Site Integration.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing analytical and technical support to a healthcare program; monitoring and resolving issues relating to electronic health records and complex health informatics issues; and preparing reports, fact sheets and charts to provide recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.
