You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the STRIKE FIGHTER WING PACIFIC STAFF of STRIKE FIGHTER WING PACIFIC STAFF.
Duties
You will assist the Administration Officer in matters affecting military and civilian employees in the command.
You will receive all visitors and telephone calls to the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer.
You will determine on own initiative which calls can be handled personally by secretary, which can be referred to members of the Staff, and which can be referred to the Executive Officer and the Commanding Officer.
You will coordinate the Commanding Officer’s and the Executive Officer’s activities into a master schedule to include all military, social, and personal appointments on a day-to-day basis, and projected basis.
You will arrange for gate clearance for military and civilian visitors. Anticipates the need for and provides background information as required.
You will inform staff and other concerned officials of details of scheduled conferences.
You will provide advice and assistance to Staff, squadrons, and other tenant activities regarding preparation of invitations, programs for various official functions.
You will compose correspondence on own initiative based on a knowledge of command policy and the Commanding Officer’s and Executive Officer’s views and desires which include Fitness Reports, Staff Social Roster and Command Phone Roster.
You will proofread and edits all correspondence, directives, reports, messages, etc., for adequacy of treatment and confirmation with substantive policy.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing assistance in all clerical and administration duties, such as processing, creating and correcting incoming/outgoing correspondence, message traffic and forms control.
