You will serve as a OPERATIONS TEST SPECIALIST in the NAVAL TEST WING PACIFIC, AIRTEVRON-30 BLOODHOUNDS, VX-30 OPERATIONS of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
Duties
You will be responsible for coordinating with complex team of engineers, aircraft maintainers, and support personnel through the processes of planning, scheduling and allocating aircraft and aircrew resources.
You will generate cost estimates, monitor, execute, and update associated plans to ensure team members processes, facilities, and aircraft are fully available to meet test objectives.
You will receive direction from, and are accountable to, the VX-30 Operations Officer for cost, schedule, and accomplishment of customer objectives for all flight test and range support sorties.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary test teams and enables the safe and efficient utilization of VX-30 squadron aircraft and crews.
You will develop long and short term plans, schedule daily ground and flight events, track flight hours that support customer objectives and monitor financial expenditure accuracy.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band(DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following duties: 1) Provide supporting experience in Naval Aviation Operations and scheduling; 2) Demonstrating experience working in an aviation unit; 3) Understanding of Navy Test Range operations and procedures; 4) Familiarity with long and short range operational planning.
