You will serve as a Supervisory Deputy Division Head position in the Point Mugu Sea Range Support Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
Duties
You will work directly with Division and Department staff to develop strategic plans for future capabilities and life cycle support of existing systems.
You will be assigned duties as a first level supervisor for Division personnel, to include branch heads as well as various Division Staff, as assigned.
You will provide support, insight, and advice to the Support Division Head on division matters.
You will participate in department and division working groups to foster process improvement, efficiency gains, improve management structures and solve critical problems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/12) or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Leading a team/organization on strategic planning related to aircraft and/or weapons systems; 2) Carrying out a full range of combined technical and administrative direction of others; 3) Planning aircraft and/or weapons systems work to be accomplished by others, including adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work; 4) Giving advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
